Htet Naing Aung, a GAANN fellow, is pursuing a master’s degree in systems engineering (MSSYSE) at Drexel University (expected to receive by June 2022, along with INCOSE ASEP certification).

Training

Htet is educated and trained in 7 areas over the past 12 years, mostly in mechatronics (mechanical/electrical/software) and systems engineering. Other areas are product design, project management, and basic academic research.

BSME, MSME, and Research

Htet graduated magna cum laude and honors with distinction from Drexel, when he received bachelor’s and master’s degrees, both in mechanical engineering. He is a member of Pi Tau Sigma. At Drexel, Htet conducted research at Drexel Dynamic Multifunctional Materials Laboratory (DMML) for NASA and US Army Research Lab. He was a researcher at Drexel Space Systems Laboratory (DSSL).

3 Six-Month Co-ops

Htet was also an intern at Kulicke & Soffa as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op for six months in 2019, supporting research and development efforts in advanced packaging machines. He was an intern at L3Harris Technologies as a Systems Engineering Co-op for six months in 2018, supporting the business capture team and systems engineering efforts. Htet was also an intern at Dorman Products as a Product Engineer Co-op for six months in 2017, supporting development efforts, inspection and testing of various automotive parts.
